Be the Hands and Feet of Jesus

Mark 10:14 “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

Jesus’ disciples didn’t want Jesus to be bothered with little kids.  Jesus, after all, was a busy traveling preacher, healer, and prophet.  However, Jesus took this chance to teach the disciples that they needed to be more like the little children.  I remember the innocence, blind faith, and complete trust that I had when I was a child.  I remember getting older and losing these things because of the ways of the world.
This week we have the ability to welcome children just as Jesus did through our Easter Egg Hunt at 10am this Sunday.  This is a chance for our church to show the love of Jesus to people of all races, genders, and ages because we all know that if kids are going to get here then they need some sort of adult with them.  This is a chance for our church to be the hands and feet of Jesus to some people who may not know of God’s goodness and love for them.  This is a chance for young children to come to Jesus.
But, for it to be more than a chance you have to be willing to come and show the children this love.  You have to be willing to call up your neighbor, family, or friends and personally invite them!  You have to be willing to come and invite these children and their families to become a part of our church family.  You must be willing to be the hands and feet of Jesus.  So join us this Sunday to help us be the hands and feet of Jesus.  The egg hunt starts at 10 but we’d love for you to help us set out eggs at 9:15am.
Grace and Peace,
